Spotlight Chamber Concerts are returning this spring, after a sell-out opening series last December. All of the concerts in the series will take place ‘in the round’, with socially distanced seats surrounding the performers.

The venue will be transformed with dramatic lighting - only spotlights centred on the musicians will light the space (hence the name of the festival) - ensuring a truly unique immersive atmosphere.

The award-winning Doric String Quartet will open this year’s festival, performing three incredible pieces by Austrian composers Franz Schubert and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as Hungarian composer Béla Bartók.

the performers:

Doric String Quartet

the music:

Schubert - Quartettsatz
Bartók - String Quartet No. 3
Mozart - Quartet in F
