Classical music festival Up Close and Musical returns to Clerkenwell’s Fidelio Cafe. Founded in 2020 by violist Shiry Rashkovsky, Up Close and Musical demystifies the world of classical music through boundary-defying performances in which world-renowned artists share their music and stories of their musical lives in an intimate setting.
This event features Chi-chi Nwanoku and the soloists of Chineke!, who present a programme of double bass chamber works, juxtaposing rarely heard arrangements of Florence Price’s 5 Folksongs in Counterpoint with Franz Schubert’s Trout Quintet.
