Legendary Italian musician Mario Brunello presents Bach’s sonatas and partitas on violoncello piccolo in Clerkenwell’s Fidelio Cafe.
The violoncello piccolo was relatively popular in the 18th century. A smaller version of the cello and with five strings, it enabled most violin repertoire to be performed an octave lower. Bach used it extensively in his sacred music.
Ticket options range from including a drink to including a three-course meal from the cafe’s critically-acclaimed kitchen.
