The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment’s Night Shift series, which takes baroque and early music to the pubs of London, returns to Walthamstow’s historic Ye Olde Rose & Crown.
Violinist Silvia Schweinberger will present an evening of music by lesser-known baroque era composers, including Antonio Alessandro Stradella (1643-1682), an early adopter of the ‘concerto grosso’, and Jean-Marie Leclair (1697-1764), a virtuoso violinist often called the “French Corelli” or “French Bach”.
