The BBC National Orchestra of Wales and conductor Jaime Martín present music by Dora Pejačević, Grace Williams, and Gustav Holst.

Violinist Geneva Lewis will play Welsh composer Grace Williams’s Violin Concerto, with Gustav Holst’s The Planets taking centre-stage after the interval: colourful character portraits of the Solar System’s seven planets (excluding Earth).

This performance is part of the BBC Proms, the world’s largest classical music festival. Taking place over eight weeks, the festival features performances every day until 9 September - most of which take place at The Royal Albert Hall, in South Kensington.

The festival’s ethos is to provide high-quality and inexpensive concerts. For every concert, you can pick up tickets on-the-day for £8. They’re released at 10.30am for the performance that evening. Find out more about Promming here.
