Star of noisenight four Sheku Kanneh-Mason returns to Fairfield Halls with the London Mozart Players to perform Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 2.

Sheku will share his thoughts and insights into the challenges of the piece with conductor Jonathan Bloxham ahead of the performance.

The orchestra will also perform music by Glinka and Mussorgsky, celebrating an all-Russian programme. Acclaimed artist James Mayhew will paint along to the music, with his artwork inspired by Mussorgsky’s dramatic melodies projected on the overhead screens in Croydon’s iconic concert hall.
