Spotlight Chamber Concerts are returning this spring, after a sell-out opening series last December. All of the concerts in the series will take place ‘in the round’, with socially distanced seats surrounding the performers.

The venue will be transformed with dramatic lighting - only spotlights centred on the musicians will light the space (hence the name of the festival) - ensuring a truly unique immersive atmosphere.

Solem Quartet are back at this year’s festival, after a ‘magical’ performance last December, and have brought with them some of London’s finest chamber musicians to play Franz Schubert’s Octet in F.

the performers:

Solem Quartet (Amy Tress & William Newell, violins; Stephen Upshaw, viola; Stephanie Tress, cello)

Plus: Anthony Friend, clarinet; Catriona McDermid, bassoon; Stephen Craigen, horn; Marianne Schofield, double bass

the music:

Schubert - Octet in F
