Fusion band Son Rompe Pera bring their unique take on traditional Mexican marimba-based folk music to Dalston.

Based in Naucalpan, a suburb of Mexico City, the Gama brothers launched Son Rompe Pera to keep alive the legacy of marimba music running through their family and neighbourhood.

Primarily based on cumbia, their music mixes folk with danzón, rock, punk, ska, and more. This is the band’s debut UK show, and it’ll be in through the noise’s favourite live music venue, The Jago.
