The Multi-Story Orchestra perform their own unique version of Stay On It - a joyous, punchy piece of music by Julius Eastman - in Peckham’s converted car park, Bold Tendencies.

As an openly gay Black man working in the 1970s, composer Julius Eastman created music that took on radical political viewpoints, shaped by his own experiences of oppression.

Stay On It is a semi-improvised piece, meaning that no performance is ever the same. This will be your one and only chance to hear Multi-Story’s version, created by their amazing musicians.

You’ll dive straight into the piece with the unique Living Programme Note, with musicians spread across the car park space in small groups to explore and get involved, finding out about the music and meeting the orchestra, before the whole ensemble comes together for the performance.

This event will also take place on Friday 20 August. If that suits your diary better, head here.
