Folk-fusion collective announce album tour
Award-winning folk-fusion collective Kabantu have today announced the UK tour of their second album, freehand.
Kabantu means "of the people" - stemming from the South African philosophy of Ubuntu: "I am who I am because of who we all are".
Aiming to celebrate the space where different cultures meet, the collective's 2018 debut album "Of the People" won critical acclaim from the Guardian, Songlines Magazine and FRoots.
Dates include their home town of Manchester and Leeds, where in both they’ll collaborate with Will Pound, a multi-award-winning harmonica and melodeon player whose work spans folk, jazz, blues, and gospel music from across the world.
All tour dates:
9 October - Music at the Green, Glasgow
10 October - Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh
15 October - Clothworkers Centenary Concert Hall, Leeds
27 October - International Anthony Burgess Foundation, Manchester
29 October - The Jago, London
30 October - The Jam Jar, Bristol
