Lockdown easing delayed by four weeks

Current coronavirus restrictions will stay in place for an additional four weeks, after the 21 June planned easing.

This means that legal restrictions on social contact, which include capacity limits for venues and social distancing requirements at events, will continue up until 19 July.

The Prime Minister has justified the delay by citing rising cases of the Delta variant, its increased transmissibility, and the need to allow more second doses of the vaccine to be administered.

We’ll have to hold out a little longer for non-socially distanced concerts, but in the meantime, head over to our things to go to page for up-to-date events in London which will be taking place under current restrictions.
