What's on this week: classical music in London

Wednesday is a big day at through the noise - we release the noisenights autumn/winter 2022 season, and there’s a pretty big announcement included within them.

For music this week, here are our suggestions of the best classical music concerts to go to over the bank holiday weekend…


Saturday 27 August, 5pm

Stompy’s Playground String Ensemble perform music from anime powerhouse Studio Ghibli alongside a bespoke audio visual display

Saturday 27 August, 7.30pm

The Royal Albert Hall hosts an audio-visual celebration of the BBC’s Natural History Unit, accompanied by the music of Hans Zimmer and George Fenton

Sunday 28 August, 4pm

Explore the boundary between silence and sound and its deep roots in East Asian philosophies with Tangram
