Spotlight Chamber Concerts

Live music came back with a bang last week. We’re glad to report that there’s no sign of performances relenting.

Alongside a load of new standalone events, tickets to two exciting music festivals in Marylebone and Islington went on-sale last Monday. The future’s looking bright for London’s classical music at last.

Here are our recommendations for things to do this week:

Wednesday 26 May, 1.10pm

Meera Maharaj (flute) and Dominic Degavino (piano) play music by Chaminade, Andy Scott and Franck

Wednesday 26 May, 7pm

Thomas Gould (violin) and Yulia Chaplina (piano) play a selection of music from ‘Behind the Iron Curtain’ at Kings Place

Thursday 27 May, 9pm

Angela Hewitt plays music by Couperin and Brahms, as the Spotlight Chamber Concerts series returns to SE1

Saturday 29 May, 6pm + 8pm

Nathan Britton performs his spin on Chopin, Gershwin, Oscar Peterson & Bill Evans at The Piano Bar Soho, with trumpeter Andy Davies

a bit further ahead…
