What's on this week: classical music in London

Last week we announced a string of new noisenights running from October-December this year, featuring some of the UK’s top musicians performing in clubs, bars and breweries.

Monday 29 August, 7.30pm

Explore the boundary between silence and sound and its deep roots in East Asian philosophies with Tangram

Thursday 1 September, 7.30pm

Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Harry Baker return to Peckham’s converted car park Bold Tendencies with a brand-new programme

Friday 2 September, 7.30pm

Europe’s first majority Black and ethnically diverse orchestra, Chineke!, perform Beethoven Symphony No. 9 at the Royal Albert Hall

Saturday 3 September, 8pm

Rotherhithe’s iconic club Printworks welcomes the BBC Proms as the English National Opera perform music by Handel and Glass
