Major Autumn series announced at Wigmore Hall

We’ve been spending the past few weeks scouring every corner of the internet for signs of life in the live classical music world. The truth is, as you might have expected, not much has been going on.

So, it’s extremely exciting that Wigmore Hall have just announced 100 concerts for their autumn season, starting in early September. And these aren’t just any concerts. The director of Wigmore Hall, John Gilhooly, seems to have sought out the widest possible variety of music and musicians: in September alone they’ve got everything from the world’s most famous opera stars to saxophonist Jess Gillam and the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective.

We’re going to start poring over the details and over the next few days we’ll be giving you our insight on what’s worth seeing, and what isn’t. Watch this space.
