The Echéa Quartet perform Kurtág, Schubert, and Haydn in an early evening concert at the 1901 Arts Club, Waterloo’s intimate club dedicated to chamber music.

The venue is a restored old schoolmaster's house on Exton Street, redone in the style of a European Salon. The house maintains its late Victorian exterior while the club’s beautifully decorated rooms re-create the intimate ambience of a private residence. Tickets include a pre-concert drink in the club’s bar.

the performers:

Echéa Quartet (Aliayta Foon-Dancoes, violin; Rosa Hartley, violin; Edgar Francis, viola; Eliza Millett, cello)

the programme:

Franz Schubert - Quartettsatz in C minor
György Kurtág - 'Officium Breve in Memoriam Andreae Szervansky'
Joseph Haydn - String Quartet in D minor Op.76 No.2 ('Fifths')
