Jungle goes classical in this event curated by Nonclassical Associate Composer Blasio Kavuma at Bethnal Green’s Space 289.

Cecilia Bignall’s cello improvisations will be mixed and mangled with live electronics, percussionist Marc Pell will bring jungle to life in real time from behind his drum kit using effects pedals and synth pads, and improvising bassist Tom Mason will explore the different percussive textures of the classic breakbeat canon and fuse it with abstract soundscapes and fragmented jazz harmony.

The night will be interspersed with live DJ sets from Chris Inperspective and Decibella, capturing the authentic sound of jungle across its broad spectrum of forms.
