97 Ensemble aim to raise awareness of the statistic that 97% of women aged 18-24 experience sexual harassment in UK, as found by the APPG UN Women UK report of March 2021.

They fundraise for Solace Women’s Aid through their concerts and give performances at Solace Women’s Aid for their service users. The ensemble champions works by underrepresented composers and hope to make classical music more inclusive.

For this performance, as part of the Royal Albert Hall’s informal Classical Coffee Mornings series, they’ll perform music by Fanny Mendelssohn, Ethel Smyth, Valerie Coleman, and Errollyn Wallen.
