Finsbury Park’s Park Theatre has unveiled plans to reopen for the first time since going dark in March, with a socially distanced season to start in January 2021.

The theatre will feature the ghost-thriller When Darkness Falls and comedy Corpse!, as well as a new chamber music series: Coffee, Croissant & a Concert.

The series runs on selected Sunday mornings throughout January & February – with coffee, pastries and an hour of classical music, plus one or two modern numbers thrown into the mix.

The space will also host free professional development opportunities for creatives that identify as working class, working class LGBTQI+, those who are D/deaf or disabled and those of a culturally diverse heritage.

Performances in the Coffee, Croissant & a Concert series will feature Ostara Chamber Players. Founded during lockdown, four local musicians formed an ensemble with a string quartet at its core.

They wanted to find a way to fill the live music void while building on the sense of community in the N4 area, and so formed the fantastic ‘Doorstep Concerts’ series (see vid above for an example).

Keep an eye out on our things to go to page for full event previews soon. You can read more about the Park Theatre & this series on their website.
