Report shows increase in young audiences buying classical music tickets

A new report from TRG Arts and Purple Seven shows that young audiences are buying more tickets to classical music concerts since events have gone back on sale post-lockdown.

The research analysed data from 209 UK organisations and concluded that ticket buyers for concerts in 2020-21 are younger, with both of the 16-24 and 25-34 age brackets considerably increasing in proportion of tickets sold. You can read the full report here.

As of the start of September, under 30s can enter a ballot for £10 tickets to Fidelio Orchestra’s season, with £8.50 tickets to selected performances at Kings Place. For under 18s, there are £5 tickets for the LSO’s upcoming concerts at St. Luke’s.
