What's on this week: classical music in London

The next season of noisenights kicks off the week after next, with Roberts Balanas performing in OMEARA, London Bridge.

It’s so, so close to being fully funded, so do get involved and push it over the line. It’ll be a great night of virtuosic playing in an incredible venue. Find out more about that one here.

For live music this week we’ve prepared a Southbank special for you, featuring a few of our favourite UK artists presenting some groundbreaking new shows.


Friday 23 September, 9pm

Dreamed up by Norwegian violinist Bjarte Eike, The Alehouse Sessions transport audiences to a 17th century evening of entertainment

Saturday 24 September, 8pm

Manchester Collective bring Michael Gordon’s Weather to life in collaboration with BBC field recordist Chris Watson and filmmaker Carlos Casas

Sunday 25 September, 7.30pm

Cellist Abel Selaocoe explores the meaning of home, drawing on diverse influences from across Southern Africa and the Baroque era


Saturday 8 October, 8pm

Latvian violinist Roberts Balanas performs in London Bridge club OMEARA, featuring music by Bach, Locatelli, Reich, Pink Floyd, and more
