Clerkenwell’s Fidelio Cafe, home to the Up Close and Musicial festival

It’s August already, and the classic British rainy summer has returned. On the bright side, it’s now the month in which noisenight two takes place.

There are a handful of tickets remaining across all ticket bands for that event - so you can still pick up tickets for just £8 here.

That concert isn’t until the end of the month: for now, here are the best live events taking place over the next few days…

3 + 4 August, 7pm

Guy Johnston (cello) and Mishka Rushdie Momen (piano) play Mendelssohn, Bach, Webern, and Beethoven in the Fidelio Cafe

Wednesday 4 August, 1.10pm

Rob Burton (saxophone) + Ashley Fripp (piano) play Debussy, Chopin, Adès, and Franck as part of St James’s Picadilly’s free series

Saturday 7 August, 7pm + 9pm

Peckham’s converted car-park-turned-arts-space hosts pianist Samson Tsoy performing both of Brahms’ piano concertos
